Ancelotti was closely linked with the Brazil job in the summer of 2023 as he was tipped to join the Selecao once his contract with Los Blancos expired in June 2024. However, the Italian signed a new deal with the club in January this year that will now keep him at Santiago Bernabeu until 2026.

With the 64-year-old on the cusp of winning a record-extending fifth Champions League title of his illustrious managerial career with the Spanish champions, he hinted that he could consider retirement after his existing Los Blancos contract expires.

Speaking to , the Real boss said: "I'm going to finish my career at Real Madrid, but first I want another Champions League. As long as Real Madrid wants me, I will be here at their disposal."
